QEDesign Series 1+ is a definitive filter design and analysis systemwhich supports three types of filter design: finite impulse response(FIR), infinite impulse response (IIR), and equiripple finite impulseresponse (Parks-McClellan). Twelve filter types are supported: low-pass,high-pass, bandpass, bandstop, arbitrary group delay, multiband,differentiator, arbitrary magnitude, Hibert transform, halfband, raisedcosine, and root raised cosine.Filter lengths for IIR designs can be as high as 80th order, FIR windowdesigns up to 8192 taps, and equiripple FIR designs up to 4096 taps.Options are available for D/A conversion compensation and comb filtercompensation.QEDesign Series 1+ provides a system analysis feature that enablesdesigners to determine the magnitude, phase, group delay, impulseresponse, pole/zero locations, and step response of a given transferfunction. The transfer function can be input in the s-domain or z-domainas a ratio of polynomials, zeros and poles, or product of second ordersections.QEDesign Series 1+ features coefficient quantization values or 8-32bits, which enables designers to evaluate the effect of executing theirfilter on a variety of DSPs with varying word lengths.
